We list puppies ready to find their forever homes on the Available Puppies page and our expected litters on the Coming Soon page. If you are interested in a specific puppy or litter, please fill out a Puppy Adoption Application and reach out to us with any questions. The application gives us some basic information about your lifestyle and how to contact you. Once we receive your application, we will review it and get back with you as soon as possible. We usually respond via email within 1-2 days.
Once we have approved your application, you'll have access to our Approved Puppy Parents page. There you'll find example documents like our Puppy Adoption Agreement. You will be able to place a deposit on a puppy, make a payment on a puppy you've reserved, and get resources and recommendations.
In order to reserve a puppy, we require that you have completed a Puppy Adoption Application and that you make a deposit. We accept deposits on a specific puppy, a puppy from a specific litter to be chosen at a later date, or for a puppy from an undetermined future litter. The deposit amount is $500. Once you place a deposit, you'll receive a receipt, and your specific puppy or a puppy to be chosen later will be secured for you. Deposits are non-refundable. If you place a deposit and are unable to bring home the puppy you've chosen for any reason, you may transfer the deposit to a different puppy or litter. Your deposit goes toward the total price of your puppy. Deposits secure your puppy and cover initial expenses.
We cannont hold a puppy without a deposit!
We release our puppies at 12 weeks old. We find this is the best time for puppies to transition to their new homes. Our puppies are raised in our homes and benefit greatly from the extra time with Mom, Dad, littermates, and other dogs. They learn bite inhibition and manners during those 12 weeks. We are able to fully vaccinate your puppy in that time period. They will be dewormed, immunized, microchipped, and registered with the AKC. We are able to complete desensitization, socialization, and potty training. We begin basic obedience, crate, and leash training. We do everything we can to set our puppies up for success.
We recognize some families would prefer to bring their new puppies home at 8 weeks old. We offer an Early Release Application for those homes. We want to make sure our puppy parents are prepared, so if you are interseted in bringing your puppy home before 12 weeks but after 8 weeks, please fill out that application.
Our litter prices are determined by several factors, such as health testing and care for the sire and dam of the litter, and healthcare for the puppies in the litter. Each litter will be priced individually based on those factors. Our puppy adoption prices range from $1200 to $2500. Our puppies are sold to pet homes with limited registrations and a spay/neuter agreement unless we have discussed and agreed to releasing them with full registrations. If you are interested in full registration, we have a Breeding Home Application available.
Our dogs are fully health tested before breeding and will undergo ongoing health testing during their breeding years. They will receive routine hip and elbow testing via DVM, PennHip, and/or OFA. They get full genetic panel testing (274+ genetic health risks), including the 12 German Shepherd Dog breed-specific health tests like DM, and all other available health tests for dogs. As science advances, we include any new tests in our initial breeding dog testing or submit new samples for previously tested dogs to include those new tests. Both sires and dams undergo routine veterinary exams, and our dams have health exams before each breeding as well as prenatal exams, including ultrasound and radiographs throughout pregnancy. Our dogs are fed specialized diets depending on the stage of reproduction they are in, and are given the proper supplements.
The adoption cost of our puppies helps to cover health testing of the parents of the litter, prenatal care for Mom, and includes:
